Hello City Centre Church!
There have been many moving parts in the last week in regards to COVID1-19. The most important is your safety. We have been closely monitoring the directions from the Chief Medical Officer and Provincial Public Health and as per their recommendations. We have decided to move our services and church interactions online. We still want to support and gather as a family but we are needing to learn to do that now from a distance.
WHAT THIS SUNDAY WILL LOOK LIKE:
This Sunday will look different, our church will be different, but different is ok. We have moved all church services and events to an online platform. Services times will be the same, but location will change, we will be broadcasting services through Facebook Live. And we encourage you to engage and participate with the service as much as you would on a Sunday! Except maybe with your favourite mug and slippers!
Social distancing can seem lonely and discouraging but through Facebook live, we will be able to say hi to our other friends and encourage one another through the chat feature, we encourage you to use this! Service will start at 10:30 but we encourage you to test it out early just to make sure that you are all ready to go, and maybe you can virtually high five or elbow bump your friend from afar!
Know that we are praying for you, our church family and are not scared by the events that are happening in the world around us. But rather excited for what God will do during this time.
In this season of rest we encourage you to seek God in new ways, both personally and as a group! There are many bible reading plans on The Bible app that would be amazing to go through during this season. But also why not join a virtual small group? As meeting in larger groups is not recommended and many are staying home, we are moving all of our small groups to online. In a season of social distancing we need to remember to stay connected. We need each other. We need YOU!
We are continually assessing the situation on an ongoing basis. For updates, check out citycentrechurch.com. We will also communicate updates via email and our social media channels.
Let’s work together to create a worship environment that honours the health of each other. During this time, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in creative ways that show Christ's love, care and kindness to families that may be affected directly with this, and especially to appreciate and thank our health care workers. You are our family and we appreciate each and every one of you and want to work together for the safety needs of our congregation. We are continuously praying for the world and for each and everyone of you for peace, health, and love. Let’s pray for those affected by this illness and the caregivers who are working tirelessly to minimize the impact of the virus. Let’s also use this opportunity to demonstrate a spirit of faith and draw confidence that the Kingdom of God will prevail.
