Kids Ministry

Explore the ministry opportunities for your children at City Centre

Kids Ministry at City Centre Church

At City Centre Church our kids (infant through 6th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

We would love to see you and your family visit City Kids.

Your first visit

Here's what to expect when visiting City Kids for the first time:

First: Follow the signs and host's directions leading to the second floor, here you will be greeted by volunteers behind a table where registration occurs. Here you will check your child into our system and then continue with your child to the third floor where you will experience our worship time as a family.

With checking your child into our system, you will be asked the following personal information (which we keep entirely confidential).

  • Parent/Guardian name(s)
  • Child’s name
  • Child’s birthdate
  • Home address
  • Phone number/contact information
  • Special instructions (allergies/medications to be aware of)

Our hope is that you enter a space where your kids have fun and where you feel comfortable leaving them with our volunteers! We value the growth that will happen in our children's ministry but we want to be supporters of the most important place and space for spiritual development: Your home.

How check-in works

NURSERY (0-4 Years)

Before Service: Parents will be greeted by our amazing volunteers who will help the check in process run smoothly. Parents register their children on the second floor before the service starts and the children then join them in the main auditorium for worship. We welcome that God put the wiggle in kids (so no need to worry during this time) and we believe in the importance of families sharing time of worship at church together.

Parents will receive an individualized code at check-in, which they must keep and present to counter staff in order to check-out their child. Parents will be notified through the screens in the sanctuary with the individualized code presented at check-in to alert them if their child requires their attention.

When the children are dismissed, about 12-15 minutes into the service after the worship and either during/after the coffee break, your child can go with the volunteers (wearing green lanyards) to the elementary area. You may accompany your child or if you missed sign in before the service, feel free to sign them in then.

During Service: Volunteers will spend time playing with the children, they enjoy stories, prayer time, art and healthy snacks which provides an engaging hour of learning activities during Sunday Services.

After Service: At the end of the service, we ask that you promptly pick-up your child by providing the individualized code given and promptly pick-up your child from the preschool area!

ELEMENTARY (4-11 Years)

Before Service: Parents will be greeted by our amazing volunteers who will help the check in process run smoothly. Parents register their children on the second floor before the service starts and the children then join them in the main auditorium for worship. We welcome that God put the wiggle in kids and we believe in the importance of families sharing time of worship at church together.

Parents will be notified through the screens in the sanctuary with the individualized code presented at check-in to alert them if their child requires their attention.

When the children are dismissed, about 12 minutes into the service and during/after the coffee break, your child can go with the teachers (wearing green lanyards) to the elementary area. If you prefer, you may accompany your child there.

During Service: A Sunday morning at City Centre Church in our kids ministry involves large group and small group discussion times. The large group welcomes an environment where kids learn about God and how much He loves them by entering a space to learn biblical stories and lessons through video, drama or games used to creatively teach the lesson.

In the small group time, groups are led by volunteers and provide an opportunity for deeper group discussion with age-appropriate questions where discipleship develops through the friendships being made.

After Service: At the end of the service, we ask that you promptly pick-up your child from the preschool area. Once you enter the classroom and locate your child, take a few moments to allow them to show you the activities or crafts (and receive the take-home from the teachers) they have participated in and then check them out with the individual code you received with a volunteer.

Mother's Baby Room

At City Centre Church we offer childcare during the teaching part of our service for infants. But we also have a Mother's Baby Room that is available for mothers with infants. The coffee room has a live video feed exclusively for mothers with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment.
